Man at Work

I wish I had more to share, but I’m just totally whipped. We had an awesome workday on Saturday with friends and got a ton done, including some mammoth demo inside of all the crappy built-ins and two full pickup truck loads to the dump. Then Rachel’s family showed up around 7 p.m. fresh off a 10 hour drive from Atlanta and rocked out some plaster demo for 2 hours. (Can you believe that? They were rarin’ to go.)

We took out the entire plaster/spackle-sponge ceiling down to the studs in the living room. Probably filled up 10 bags with plaster and the pile of lath on the porch is about 5 feet tall now. Gotta get a photo of that tomorrow. Went back today and did the same thing in the foyer/entry.

Thanks to Nick, Lilly, Josh, Chelsea, Colin, Justin, Stan, Megan, and Debbie for coming to work with us. We owe you all a big dinner at our house one day soon when the dust settles.

Rachel and the fam are all working again on Monday while I go to my day job. And then I’m off for the rest of the week to work.
