Kitchen floors well on their way
To the guy at Universal Floors who told me that the cheaper pine floors in our kitchen “would never look very good” and “were meant to have something on top of them,” like tile or linoleum, I present to you exhibit A for why we’re glad we picked someone else to do our floors. (Exhibit B is the fact that you were between $1000 and $1600 more expensive than other estimates.)
They sanded these awful things down and put on the stain and the first coat of polyurethane yesterday so that we can have the cabinets placed in here on Saturday and installed on Monday. Then they’ll come back Tuesday or so and do the last two coats and the finish once the cabinets are in.
